Sunday Sensations

Apropos of nothing, I present to you a photo of DelPo in Argentina.  On Sunday, he was a spectator at a polo tournament, before attending a football match at La Bombonera stadium, home of his beloved Boca Juniors.

I hope Christopher Clarey does not find out about DelPo’s extended excursion, lest he write a critical analysis of DelPo’s preparation for Davis Cup.

Apparently, not qualifying for London has made DelPo a little stir-crazy.  He has recently started Tweeting up a storm in English and he also offered an English-subtitled version of his welcome video on Facebook.  Someone is giving him social media lessons.

In more somber news, the mother of Argentine football legend (and former Boca Jrs. striker) Diego Maradona recently passed away.  Del Potro is reported to have attended the wake with former Boca Jrs. striker Martin Palermo, among others.

About mariposaxprs

I play favorites with Juan Martin Del Potro, Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, David Ferrer, Feliciano Lopez, Gilles Simon and the long line of mercurial talent that drives me to despair in front of the screen at odd hours during the week.

Aw, that is so cute! Sounds like DelPo is plotting tennis world takeover next year with all this billingual social media-ing! 🙂

Ehrm, except he has like 2,000 Likes on Facebook right now. Haha, I think it’s going to be awhile before that happens. I love how obvious it is that he decided to step up his PR campaign. 100% approve 😉
