Monte Carlo: DelPo Pays His Respects to Monte Carlo

As you know, DelPo traditionally starts his clay season at the Portugal Open.  This year, he has decided to grace the Monte Carlo tournament with his presence.  He gave a pre-tournament interview:

He was cheery and full of smiles.  In his interview, DelPo says that clay is not his favorite surface.  That’s not surprising to hear, given the injury troubles he’s had on that surface.  Still, he has quite a sterling record on clay and the hope is he can continue in the right direction.  He will play Dolgopolov in R2 (Dolgo was in great form when he defeated Tomic in straight sets in R1).

DelPo then shared a photo of him standing in front of the seaside backdrop. HandsOnHisHipsPo!  A lanky Hip-po, if you will:

Here are some extra photos of DelPo practicing in Monte Carlo:

In other news, Djokovic continues his preparation for MC, in spite of his lingering ankle injury.  Djokovic was reportedly testing out the ankle during training.  At one point, he ran up the stairs to test whether or not there was pain.  Djokovic said he will make his decision on Tuesday, whether or not to play in the tournament.  Should Djokovic decide not to play, Blaz Kavcic would replace him in the draw.

The Centre Court action at MC will be filled with fun matches today.  In addition to DelPo-Dolgo, fans will see Gasquet-Paire and Tsonga-Davydenko.  The Gulbis-Isner match is sure to attract fans of the pain-loving variety.

With havin so much content do you ever run into any issues of plagorism or copyright infringement?
My site has a lot of unique content I’ve either created myself or
outsourced but it seems a lot of it is popping it up all
over the web without my agreement. Do you know any ways to help protect against content from being ripped off?
    I’d certainly appreciate it.

Delpo had a very tough time today against the Dog, and honestly he should have been able to get thru that match with a better scoreline. I mean it’s only gonna get harder from here.
And as regards to ur reply to my comment in ur last post. I did read that old post (url-website) that u pasted. But I thought Delpo was having problems with the DC coach, and I didn’t realize that his relationship with Nalby was also being affected. It’s really a shame, I hope they can out their differences behind them and come together for the DC semifinal.
ayiiiiiiii, it seems like *PSY* guy has another hit single released and it’s supposedly getting so much attention here. 😉 I’m sure he’s the most famous guy in ur region??!
    (You don’t have to reply to this comment, I know u r super busy, seriously!! ) 🙂 t c

      Hi Iram,

Indeed, DelPo was frankly a bit lucky to get past Dolgo. He wasn’t serving well and his footwork was poor. I hope he just needed a bit of time to adjust to the clay. His next match will be a tough one for sure, so he’ll need to play better!

DelPo has problems with the DC captain and the relationship between him and Nalby has always been a bit tense. Nalby’s very passionate about DC, which tends to complicate his relations w/other players. In the past, Nalby’s had problems with other Argentinean players on his team too 😦 DelPo says he won’t play the SF…which means ARG’s chances are not as high. Still, DelPo wants to focus on his individual career this year.

Hahahaha, have you seen the new music video for PSY? He’s definitely popular in Korea, so many people attend his concerts! I heard his music video has almost 100million views on YouTube already. I liked his first song better than this one, but who knows, maybe his 2nd song will become popular too! What are your thoughts? 😉

Take care, I hope you’re doing well!!

Yes, he must be very glad to be there for several reasons, not the least of which is reading about your personal drama on the front page of your hometown newspaper. What better place to “move on” than that 24/7 playground? It’s either that or Las Vegas. So he’s doubly motivated to do well and make it through the weekend. The new outfit works, too. Gone are those horrible plaid and gray shorts, the latter made him look like he’s had an “accident.” Without Roger to dress, Nike can put their best stylists to work on him starting with a good shave and haircut.
Tsonga looks very strong and Raonic can be very dangerous so JuanMa will have to work very hard, stay focused and listen to Franco to keep him out of trouble. Will the Joker be able to sit this one out and take care of that ankle?

Oh, is there more personal drama? I don’t remember hearing about anything, unless you’re referring to the Davis Cup stuff.

I like DelPo’s new outfit and the navy shorts are marvelous. The grey shorts are long gone, thank goodness! It’s funny b/c Rafa wore the same grey shorts, but Rafa doesn’t sweat through them like DelPo did! That image of DelPo winning Rotterdam with his soaked-through shorts and the tissue up his nose (b/c it was bleeding) is a classic 🙂

DelPo will definitely have to play better in his next match. I hope his play against Dolgo was more of an adjustment issue than anything else. Thankfully, DelPo’s BHs are back to normal and he’s hitting them strong again. Raonic is likely to be a tough test in R3!
